We believe that words have power - and positive affirmations can truly transform our thoughts, emotions, and actions. This belief is what inspired the creation of our candle line and a desire to uplift, comfort, and guide others through life’s trying moments. Our mission is rooted in reinforcing self-worth, self-love, and kindness - towards ourselves and others. Created shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, Affirming Soul Candles emerged as a response to the collective pain, grief, and uncertainty many of us experienced. As a social worker, I’ve witnessed firsthand the growing mental health crisis and the silent struggles so many people face.

It’s often the ones we least expect - the ones who smile the brightest or stay the busiest - who carry hidden burdens. In my experience, those who are drawn to candles often seek comfort, calm, and peace. Many may also be battling mental illness, suicidal thoughts, domestic violence, low self-esteem, or using substances as a way to cope. It can be easy to feel unseen, unworthy, or disconnected from your own truth when facing life challenges.

Each candle is a gentle reminder that healing is possible and that: You are loved. You are worthy. You are enough. If your story includes pain, mental health struggles, or domestic violence, know that you are not alone, and there is help.
