Our Story
What started as a tasty experiment-trying to recreate Kentucky Fried Chicken during the pandemic-blossomed into a beloved ghost kitchen and pop-up content. Eventually, the Buddy moved forward with a brick-and-mortar spot, fueled by community support via Kickstarter and GoFundMe campaigns Converge MediaKickstarter.
The restaurant now occupies the old Uncle Thurm's Soul Food space in the Lincoln District and offers a soulful, nostalgic ambience filled with music, nostalgic TV shows, and intentional art celebrating Black culture Converge Media.
